Pros

good health benefits, global company has a brand name

Cons

focused on small group of big sized clients, job may involve lots of travel, job uncertainty

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Provide attractive options for employees who are willing to relocate to other locations such as Costa Rica, India or Middle East. The company needs to look for projects of all sizes, expecially in a down economy. Be ready to cut hourly costs to clients to get the foot in the door.

    Pros

Compensation in terms of pay, bonus and benefits is comparable to other similar companies.

    Cons

There are no opportunites for career development at this company. They would rather dump you and hire a new body with the skills they want rather than develop new skills in existing employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Since managers get their positions by tending to their superiors backsides, they only tend to promote underlings that take care of their own backside rather than promoting individuals based on skill or ability. This leads to managers who are ineffective at managing a consulting company and a lack of growth opportunity for skilled individuals.

    Pros

If you want long-term assignments for slow clients.

    Cons

Conpany strategy is changing every year; it just tries to follow other consulting firms.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay people enough so that you keep competent resources. Provide opportunities for growth.
