    - When getting promoted after years of hard work your pay will not change, unless you threaten to leave with a new job offer
    - Under performers are not managed well and ruin it for everyone else
    - No Customer Focus

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    You will not keep your best staff if you do not increase their pay to the same level as their new colleagues when they get a promotion.

    Pros

    Respect for people is quite evident and is a company that drives innovation and leading ege technologies in all areas of life, from hardware to software.

    Cons

    Too much adherence to Japanese culture of respect that leaders are not comfortable to confront non performance at work thus creating complacency in some areas.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Focus on driving high performance and accountability, coaching from leaders to their people managers and key performers, providing clear directions and focus, ensuring infrastructure to support employees.
