I worked at Future Shop

Pros

lots of knowledge about products which can be used to sell them, gettin products at cost for own purchases from the store.

Cons

too many people working at once during holiday seasons which results in confusion and backstabbing for sales to earn commission.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

appreciate your employees who provide good customer service and result in customer loyalty. selling psps is not everything, some work hard.

    Pros

    Good pay if your working on commission
    good people to work with
    busy = good sales
    you make min wage even if u don't sell

    Cons

    MOST jobs are seasonal
    pain in the ass people who believe they deserve every item at a discounted rate
    did i mention most jobs are seasonal

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Not much to say they where good to there employees and helped people out who needed it. They also gave good ideas and benefits

    I have been working at Future Shop

    Pros

    staff discounts are the best thing. You will also meet many friends at work, the people you work with are one of the other benefits

    Cons

    favouratism of some salespeople vs non- commission staff. Often the salespeople are treated like gods. Well actually some deserve it but most of the non-commission staff work just as hard as the average salesperson.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    try to show more respect for non-commission staff. They are a very important part of the business that most managers often forget. The better you treat your support staff the better the Future Shop will be to work for...for all staff.
