base salary is decent and so is mileage reimbursement. Benefits are good.
Cons
very old way of doing business. Laptops for Sales were just implimented within the past year. The paperwork and method of getting anything accomplished is mind bogglingly complicated. There is NO way to get a commission check, and if you do, 90 days later, it can be taken back. Ask management about this if you are intereviewing. MASSIVE turnover should send a red flag. They have all the systems in place but service to the customers is a joke and the competition is eating them up. Management is incompetant. It is a sad story of a company. I have no idea how they have been around for a 100 years but if they keep on this path, they will continue to loose market share. No respect or opportunity to move up. Quotas are rediculas and morale is low throughout the office.
Advice to Senior Management
you should have several years experience in the field of which you are managing. As a sales manager, how can you lead if you have NO experience in theindustry or have never sold anything???????
