Pros

GCE is a growing IT services company with a vision for delivery of cutting edge cloud services to the Federal government and private sector clients; hands-on opportunities to work directly with clients; incentives for innovation and business development; great colleagues to work with; convivial atmosphere

Cons

Need more experienced middle managers and clear career paths for entry-level recruits; "growing pains" may seem worse than they actually are

Advice to Management

Need more sustained engagement and business related communication between management and rank & file

    Pros

Opportunities to work on numerous projects
Coworkers / supervisors are knowledgable and available
Opportunities to work with high profile agencies and department heads
Great environment to work in with friendly and accessible people

    Cons

    Can work long hours
Can be put in difficult situations with little guidance
Organizational / Planning skills of senior management is questionable at best and things won't become a priority until the due date comes up

    Advice to Management

Senior managmenet needs to plan better and allocate resources better
Help desk and trainees should shadow more senior members more which can help in the learning process
Hire more developers and not business majors. The business aspect is easy to learn but not everyone can think technically
