I have been working at GE Capital

    Pros

    Gold standard for multinationals
Finance from a large company perspective
    Great work life balance
    Bedrock integrity

    Cons

Big gap between management talk and reality on the ground
Struggling to find a niche in Asia
Multinational culture sometimes clashes with reality of doing business in Asia

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Recent efforts to better define what GE Capital does have been painful but well worth it, and I'm looking forward to seeing a better and more refined description of what we do in Asia and why we are in that market.

I have been working at GE Capital

    Pros

The Team: up, down, across; solid at all levels. Great environment.

    Cons

GE Stock has been a boat anchor on compensation growth. Business is picking up, but concerned relo policies will inhibit promotion opportunities below the EB level.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get out and visit the remote locations more frequently...I see leaders fly in/out for customer meetings and skip the meet and greets with employee's...taking an extra hour or two to shake a hand or give a personal update on the company goes a long way.
