I have been working at GE Capital full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Above min wage for entry-level and immediate benefits Tuition Reimbursement Gym and Health Clinic

    Cons

Most entry level positions deal with montlhy stats which are extremely hard to acheive. To much stress, lot of employees on LOA,and or medication due to stress or on corrective action because you just can't provide customer service being pre-occupied with making standards. Outsourcing! And these outsourced companies do not have to follow the same compliance laws or standards that reps in the US do, no matter what management claims. If you get your degree while still 20-30yrs old you have advancement opportunity, but if it takes you until you 40-50 yrs old to get that degree, doesnt matter you will just stay stuck in present position, best you may manage is possible lateral move. They say they have flex time, but you can never use it, 9 out of 10 times its denied If you are not a eayg employee and have substantial vacation time, you better know where and when you are going on vacation for 2013 because you have to request it by mid December 2012 for approval or you may not get it. Forget about calling in a vacation day, it doesnt happen and will not happen.

    Advice to Management

*Give feedback when an employee post for a job and is not selected, an employee shouldn't have to stalk a manager to get feedback. When feedback is given be truthful say "we can hire 2 employees who have been here for 1 year and pay both of them your 1 salary". Instead of saying "if it is any consolation you were just one interview question away from being selected"...Are you serious. *Intergrity issues, an employee will be walked out the door immediately on an integrity issue, but management has no integrity they find short-cuts and backdoor ways of getting around some integrity and compliance issues, then when they get busted they make all low level employees scramble like chickens with their heads cut off to make changes go into effect immediately so they don't get fined.

I have been working at GE Capital full-time

    Pros

Stable company, great people, work flexibility and benefits ... work to live not live to work type attitude. Great senior management

    Cons

Average compensation, best positions are in undesirable locations (Norteast US). Very large company; feel like a needle in a haystack.
