Former Intern - Anonymous Intern
Former Intern - Anonymous Intern

I worked at GE Capital as an intern (less than a year)

Pros

The company has a strong brand name; the break rooms are absolutely fantastic; there are a lot of travel opportunities.

Cons

The work is boring; there is high turnover in the entry level positions (people leaving the company); there isn't much of a career trajectory; the company is downsizing.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

If I'm bored as an intern, I'm going to assume the work itself is boring. If my friends have similar experiences, I'm going to run.

Former Employee - Customer Service Representative in Guaynabo, PR

I worked at GE Capital full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Lot of benefits like health, tuition reimbursement, gym reimbursement, sick days and even paid vacations

    Cons

You have to take 60 to 100 calls a day and use and old system that fails once a week. Most of what is said is scripted and is to some extent lies so that customers do not use or do not call back

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Process for dealing with disputes is broken and metrics for employees and easy to manipulate

    Doesn't Recommend
    Neutral Outlook
