Current Employee - Intern in Singapore (Singapore)
Current Employee - Intern in Singapore (Singapore)

I have been working at GE Healthcare as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

The office is very chill, everyone is very nice and fridays are casual. The work hours are no more than 40 hours per week. The regular flow of the work day is to get in the office around 9am then leave around 5:30. People usually go to lunch at 12-1pm. Your managers and bosses care about your development and make sure that you like what you're doing. They also take you out to coffee, or drinks, or a BBQ at their home, which is very nice of them.

    Cons

On-boarding new employees is a bit disorganized when someone joins the office. HR could definitely step it up a notch. The internship program here definitely is not structured either. Some interns come from HR, some interns come from referrals. There are no internship events - networking, meeting the CEO, lectures/talks, etc. - which I've seen at other large companies. Oh, and there are not enough seats/cubicles for everyone so some interns are sharing desks.
