Pros

Opportunity - this is a top tier company filled with resources and contacts that offer opportunity few others can.
Didn't need to worry about being stabbed in the back as people would be very open and stab you in the front.

Cons

No training or guidance.
No work life balance; said I'd travel 10-20% and it was 50-70% of my time.
Was told to get rid of my dog because having to leave the office each evening interrupted me working longer hours from my desk.

Advice to Management

You know culture is a problem and yet refuse to make tough decisions to change it which shows how weak you are.

    Pros

Knowledgeable and personable fellow employees. Schedule was very flexible but could sometimes run very late. Being field work it never felt like someone was directly behind me watching everything I did.

    Cons

Being that this was a field work job their was very little compensation for my travel. I was an intern and treated as such by upper management. When leaving I was asked about all of the people I had worked with as if I was giving them a review. When I mentioned I wasn't going to share that information the manager proceeded to tell me "don't worry about it because you will never see these guys again". I didn't say anything so the manager wasn't very happy with me.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees like people. Everyone I worked with seemed highly competent and reasonable yet all felt like they may lose their job tomorrow. That atmosphere is not healthy for the employee, custom, or business.

    Pros

Huge, possibilities are endless. The technical abilities of the folks working there is second to none.

    Cons

Too huge; the right hand has no idea what the left hand is doing.

    Advice to Management

    Slow down!!!
