    Pros

The people at GE Transportation are great to work with -- very supportive and want to help you advance your career. Accessible upper management as well.

    Cons

Lots of bureaucracy. Promotions are not always given out on the basis of quality of work.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The pay, while good for a small town, is not very competitive with other companies. Also, the pay structure for entry level into the Corporate Leadership Program does not account for students graduating with Masters.

GE brings good things to their stakeholders? In the past Jeff immelt always made the best of bad situations.

    I worked at GE

    Pros

Mgmt training ground & exposure to multiple industries.

    Cons

Far more conservative of late (understandably) so less fun, less funding for new challenges, and more nail biting.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop redirecting needed capital from growth businesses to GE Capital. The Green Initiatives PR campaign was good but for some reason was silenced. Where is the upbeat PR that contastantly talked of bringing good things to life? Now that the USA has its new president, what is GE doing to profit from more spending in infrastructure, alternative energies, and even cheap financial companies assets for sale?
