I worked at GE full-time (more than 3 years)

-Some smart people in the company
- Get to network a lot
- Big company logo on your resume

- Bad pay - no significant increments / promotions no matter what you do
- Some people lack quality educational degrees and have been hired in the company which mess up the entire management/leadership chain
- Cannot grow in the company upwards - too political & bureaucratic / behind the scenes actions
- No work/ life balance - they don't reward you as per the work you do - you slog and no rewards
- Who gets promoted and what they did you will never be told and kept in the dark - too much hidden stuff
- For young people this is not the place - i would rather suggest working in a smaller firm where you get noticed and recognized and rewarded early in your career
- A 100 +year establishment shop like this should have well defined processes for everything but that's not the case

- This is what i have seen when i worked there for 3+ years .....the company as a whole organization needs some work.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

- watch what you hire - hire people with quality educational degrees and skills sets. Some of the management i worked with has no leader ship skillets / good school degrees
- Stop hiding stuff from employees and stop the political game in the company

Disapproves of CEO
