I worked at GE as a contractor (more than an year)

    Pros

Good opportunity to learn. Great exposure to work.

    Cons

Some Finance managers are very unprofessional. They treat their employees as slaves and expect them to work day and night, both at office and at home. They pay for 9.30 hrs but expect to work through out the day sacrificing their personal life. The worst experience of my life.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Finance Managers-please treat your employees as human beings and not as machine.

I have been working at GE full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Brand name of company, chance to travel overseas for assignments

    Cons

Too much manual work, cutting back on benefits and compensation, does not encourage differing view from top management

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Yes man do not help you drive sales, focus more on topline than cutting base cost to meet numbers, employee's satisfaction going down
