I have been working at GE full-time (more than a year)

Pros

Great training and employee avocation. Due to the large size of the business, there a full range of activities that can keep you busy through your career. Lots of opportunity to grow your career and continue to take on new challenges.

Cons

Large corporate company feeling - older primarily industrial business. Work life balance can be low depending on your role.

I have been working at GE as an intern (less than a year)

    Pros

At the place where I worked, the company culture was relaxed. There were many opportunities for leadership development and training. Good management and good pay.

    Cons

Trying to get non-critical software bugs fixed for software that's regularly used takes a long time and can be inconvenient.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

There should be more to do for the interns.

    I worked at GE full-time

    Pros

Great leadership development programs, a lot of opportunities for training, looks great on your resume if you decide to pursue graduate school or a new position elsewhere, decent work-life balance

    Cons

LImited upward mobility at younger ages, found many instances of people being promoted to manager because it is seen as the next step versus truly being ready to manage, experienced some leaders who were all about working your hours versus working smarter and alloing flexibility

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Embrace allowing people autonomy and flexibility in their work and work schedules and you will find a much happier workforce, make this a great place to not only launch a career but want to stay
