Current Employee - Safety Manager in Madrid (Spain)

I have been working at GE full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Extremely customer and process oriented. Safety first. Take care of employees. Dynamic business: the employee has true opportunities to take accountability and to promote according to meritocracy.

    Cons

Firefighting (lack of an structured long term vision).
Very difficult to get an international career as an expat despite your capabilities.
Yearly feedback too much based on perceptions of the current management team so promotions into management positions depend on a ver close environment wheren relationships play a key role. Not always meritocracy is the basis of promotion in the local environment.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Year feedback cause frustration on some employees due to they are very subjective
