I have been working at GENEX Services full-time (less than an year)

Pros

Good job after college, for experience purposes.

Cons

VERY Boring work. Be prepared to sit copy and paste things in to a computer all day. If your fine with sitting at a cubicle and copy and pasting and ansering some phone calls, than this is the job for you. Doesn't seem like there's much room for growth at all.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Not sure what to advise, the work is very boring if your a people person.

    Pros

    Good place for those coming from an aggressive environment.

    Cons

    They are going through some major culture shifts resulting from the last acquisition. The culture change is forcing folks to leave, including those with seniority of 10+ years. The company has gone through many acquisitions, but without a strong plan for handling the risks associated with it from each dept. There are opportunities worth seeking at Genex, but keep in mind they are going through a transition internally that can make a job difficult. Also, the culture is aggressive and the leadership does not seem to have time for their employees. This is a place (now) where you need to be able to make things happen for yourself and you need to "watch your back.". CYA is extremely important.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    The current management style is one that leadership articles indicate is "out" and ineffective. The style that is effective is one with transparency between the managers and employees, more relationship building and less rule by the fist, growth in employee base with mentoring and compassion. The employees can be and do so much more for the company if you keep them informed honestly and build relationships that foster trust. The "blame game" or finding an "escape goat" when things do not get done should not be fostered by management. Instead, it will only lead to mistrust and overall it does not build the type of relationships that are needed to for employees to "go the extra mile."

    Pros

    Flexibility, great pay, bonus pay, mileage reimbursment, great co-workers, WAH, no micromanagement, love management,free CCM CEU's

    Cons

    Senior employees seem to leave company, travel area not limited to FCM's home hub.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    New employees should have longer orientation. Try to start some type of retention program for senir employees.
