Pros

The great thing about GEP is the vast amount of knowledge you have at your disposal. The company is still relatively new; you cannot compare it to one that has been in existence for over 50-100 years. There is room for growth if you work at it. If you are looking for a normal 9-5 where you can get away with doing the bare minimum, this company is not for you.

Cons

At times the clients set unrealistic expectations, but management will do whatever it takes to meet it; including working long hours over the weekend.

    Pros

As long as you are political master mind you will survive here. You don't necessarily need to work very hard here to grow. On the contrary, if you genuinely want to learn and be hard working, this is not the place for you.

    Cons

I joined GEP thinking that smaller company meant better recognition and faster growth. Unfortunately that is not at all true. Size of the company does not determine anything. There are some people within the company who grew(or are growing) very fast by playing politics without possessing any real talent. These people are the so called managers who are extremely immature and take all measures to curb growth of genuinely hard working and sincere people because of their insecurities. GEP is full of such senior managers(some in making). The leadership team is reasonable, but they don't have the time to understand truth and they take actions based what the undeserving managers say. All the good people are worked to death to make the client happy and when time comes they are not rewarded and the only option provided is to leave the company while the political people run the show. Beware of the people who have been with the company for a long time, its highly likely that they are the political ones who make others leave. Management becomes angry and upset if you honestly share any opinions or ideas.

    Advice to Management

I am an optimist, so I will give you some advice.. Please treat employees with respect. I understand that everyone is replaceable, and companies don't necessarily have to work hard towards retaining their employees. But if you look at the world's most admired companies, their biggest strengths are happy employees and retention rate. You have done a great job hiring hard working and smart people. But hiring is not the solution, retention is also an important aspect. Communication is the key to solving many problems. Communication at GEP is broken down at many levels. Open communication could solve many problems here.
