Current Employee – been working at GLOBALFOUNDRIES full-time
Pros – Easy to slack off if you choose to as no one really knows what is going on anywhere else beside own little corner.
Bunches of diverse people to socialize with if you into this type of thing
Little things here and there, i do not know, list is truly quite short.
Cons – Mismanaged from top to bottom to sideways. Recently restructured with new VPs but most of them came from same place. Hummm... They gonna form a chess club i suppose, or maybe a golfing team, not sure.
Trying to forcefully unite 3 totally different regions into on jumblesoup clearly failed all those past years but yet no one can see through pointlesness of that? Ancient Romans said - divide and conquer. LEARN FROM THE HISTORY.
People need to learn to speak their mind and not stupidly say yes to any moronic demand management might put on them.
Morale is terrible across the board. Someone used words SWEATSHOP and i could not agree more. Unless you have VP in your title no one care a dime for you.
Moving to a NEW HQ when company is neck deep in being non profitable?? Building BRAND NEW facilities for that too?! Moving because it is not prestigious to be in Milpitas? So there ARE $$ for that but there are no $$ for promotions or bonuses or do even buy quality equipment? Nice one Globalfoundries.
Advice to Senior Management – Grow up and start acting like leaders and managers not like spoiled children and bratty teens.
Remove those that are dead weight and only want to ride along and will agree to any nonsense.
Adjust process to work for the company and people it employes instead of beating people to work for the broken non-effective process.
Provide quality place to work with managers that manage not beat you into submission, equipment that works for you not crippling you, happy employees instead of burned out ones and make overall more common sense driven decisions.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
