    Pros

Great benefits including flex time in some departments. The company is doing well even in a declining economy.

    Cons

Company is having growing pains and currently in between a manufacturing company and a marketing company. There is a growing gap of haves and have nots. If you are a sales/marketing professional you are rewarded while other resources vital to the company's base business are left doing more for less. Lack of rewards/raises and promotions to consistent performers while others are promoted every other year for doing little more than their job.

    Advice to Management

Treat all your employees equally. Don't overlook contributions of key functions in lieu of people who take the spotlight. Give raises more freely including a mandatory increase if you get good reviews year after year. Managers tend not to give raises unless someone asks directly, this should be something the company enforces from the top down.

Some great perks, but pay is not one of them

    Pros

Many perks such as free food, flex time, adoption reimbursement, and tuition reimbursement.

Training and development is great. They try hard to understand where you want to be and will give you the training to get there. Be careful though - once you have completed the training they'll give you the job but they will not pay you the market rate for it.

    Cons

The pay is not comparable to similar jobs at other companies. It is much lower.

Processes and policies are very inefficient. There is constant re-work and constant excuses for mistakes. Employees spend double the time they should be spending on tasks.

    Management hides behind their assistants.

There are always several pointless projects going on. Thousands of hours of employee time are wasted on useless projects that do nothing for the company or for the community.

    Advice to Management

Stop hiring senior leadership employees that clash with the culture and do not understand it.

Stop putting off projects that actually matter while doing pointless ones in the mean time.
