Great work/life balance, feels like a mature start-up, but has big company resources and funding

Pros

1) Benefits - unlimited vacation time, lots of free food, generous holiday schedule 2) Culture is work hard/play hard, but there is a very manageable amount of pressure. It's a fun work environment. 3) Industry/space - we're building and marketing games!

Cons

1) Good amount of politics 2) Strategy shifts too frequently 3) Company does re-organizations 1-2 times/year

Advice to Management

You've made excellent decisions about the benefits and culture of the company. Key for moving forward and growing the company is to have a more unified senior leadership team, that is aligned and supportive of one another.

    Pros

Some very good people work here, but at the time I was there it was quite top heavy management wise, which left a bit of a vacuum at the middle-mgmt. level. That said, it is a fun place to be.

    Cons

Lack of upward mobility within the company. They don't promote from within much, though they do increase workload. That could be good or bad depending on your perspective. I saw it as an opportunity to learn, some would see it as more work.

    Advice to Management

Incentives for people to innovate would be good, as is, there were not any.

    Pros

Pleasant day to day experience. My immediate coworkers and supervisors were personable but professional and the job itself was pretty fun, as far as work goes. The office itself is a nice space, and I didn't have many problems aside what's mentioned under cons.

    Cons

Corporate nightmare. As with many large employers, they strung along some temp employees without benefits, which in the end made for a stressful work environment.
