Steady company, bad management.

I have been working at GTECH Holdings full-time for more than a year

ProsGood benefits, good core group of employees.

ConsWhile there are a few good managers, there are others that think they are good managers. Some will hold grudges, easy to write you up, but no where to be seen if praise is to be given.

Career advancement is very slow. If you are not part of the in crowd, then your career will flounder.

Pay is low.

Advice to Senior ManagementTreat everyone equally, be there for your employees instead of hanging out in your office.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend

Paying your people for what they're worth goes a long way.

Pros: Good Benefits, great people in the department, Opportunity to learn… Cons: Hands-off management, favoritism, poor pay, every day seems to add more responsibility and not a cent more in pay, stingy… Advice to Senior Management: Pay your people for what they are worth, and listen… No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company… More

Field service techs are under appreciated.

Pros: Merit raises sometimes every year, low though. Opportunity to transfer if you want if… Cons: Poor communication. Micro managed in all areas of job title. And ever changing policy's to cover gtech if someone gets hurt, it will be you… Advice to Senior Management: Stop micro managing and to recognize the hard workers who break there backs just to crape by and support a family on low wages and… No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company… More
