Don't do it. You will feel trapped after 2 weeks of doing worth that builds no revenue or even gets seen.

I have been working at Gannett as a contractor (less than a year)

    Pros

Casual work space. Some friendly people if they are not in a click. Typical corporate environment.

    Cons

They lie to you when you interview saying people just never leave once they get in their job, they love it so much. then I find out many left and the horror stories that went with them. There is no direction or communication so your job may be cut because nothing is being communicated to be done. You get questioned for asking questions. 3 months of working there and nobody sees the prototypes created to sell the company, a company that seems to be going down hill fast but they are holding on with a life preserver. It is a sweat shop basically.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

To the VP who started the new advertising section. You should learn to respect your employees and contractors. There is a reason people don't stay or job hunted during the day with down time.
