Pros

Top notch perks & benefits Work/life balance programs that make a huge difference Volunteer opportunities and great global consciousness Pleasant offices Very fashionable, young employee base

Cons

Director level and above are difficult to connect with and have huge egos With many management changes, it's tough to make progress (rules keep changing) People have their fiefdoms and defend those instead of working together Although they only had a few people reporting to them, my manager/s rarely had time to meet with me and cancelled many of our meetings (in favor of far more important people...gee, make me feel special, why don't you?)

Advice to Management

Follow basic managerial etiquette. Pay attention to your direct reports. Care about them. If two months has gone by and you haven't spoken with one of your direct reports, MAKE TIME (and these were HR managers. Unacceptable.) Reorganizations and shuffling of managers may seem exciting to the Director & above level, but to the rest of us, they are distracting time wasters and unnecessary.

    Pros

discount 50 percent off banana republic and gap 30 percent off gap outlet and 25 percent off old navy, most of the time pleasant customers and friendly team like co workers who make your day better every time you show up to work.

    Cons

Management omg! Completely horrible no organization at all they go behind each other backs. Do not relay information to each other which leaves associates confused as to what their task is. They also have a horrible way of giving criticism it comes off as just being rude and nasty instead of corrective. If there was one thing i could change it would be firing the whole leadership team because they do not lead in anything at all.

    Pros

-strong brand recognition makes it easy to get passionate about the company -a pinnacle in the retail industry -a great place to learn about multiple aspects of specialty retail

    Cons

-a lot really young people makes it a unique culture -flexibility in work schedule (some parts of the company have adopted a new program that allows telecommuniting, more flexibility etc.., but it's only as good as the support each divisions' management gives it). -salaries

    Advice to Management

demand more professionalism in a very young culture; pay better
