Pros

Very stable, great people, nice building, good benefits.

Cons

Very little movement, job advances seem to follow life advances, i.e. need a promotion? have a child or get married. Nobody is fired ever, even for gross incompetence. Working there you have no control over whether or not the khakis sell, but your bonus is based on it. Let's just say it's frustrating when you see a bunch of ugly holiday clothes and know you're going to miss bonus no matter how hard you work.

Advice to Management

Fire people sometimes. Change the bonus structure to penalize self-indulgent designers not the hard-working people everywhere else.

    Pros

Worked here for 2.5 years in college. Progressed into a Visual Lead on the sales team, which was my goal coming into it. Great values as far as diversity and giving back to the community. Management was pretty good, flexible.

    Cons

Performance was strongly based on ability to open Gap Cards, which for some people is a big con.
