ProsWas able to learn many different area's of work.
Hard working employees

ConsNew friendlier employee policies need to be put in place.

Advice to Senior ManagementIt's a hire and fire company right now.
Stop this practice please, as your employees deserve better than that!
Please make this a place to work where employees are not worried about getting fired every day.
Update company policy to be more family friendly.

Easy Management, Fast Paced, & Basic Direction

I have been working at Garden Ridge full-time for less than a year


Pros: Overall a good company. Great rotating schedule for all key carrying managers, unusual for retail management. Fast paced, in all aspects. They have no tolerance… Cons: No actual training program in place, training is all hands on training. This isn't always bad however it would be better… Advice to Senior Management: Get with your Teams & People to develop a basic 3-4 wk training program, have a "training store" at a lower… Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company… More
