    Pros

The people, the culture, and the deliverables make Gartner a fantastic company to be a part of. The opportunities are amazing and the rate of growth is stunning. Good leadership, vision, and direction.

    Cons

Some people can be far too internally-focused

I have been working at Gartner full-time

    Pros

    - You are allowed huge portions of autonomy, which demands discipline
    - Intellectual, almost academic atmosphere. You are surrounded by thought-leaders.
    - Due to the strong brand, you get access to c-level at the clientele you are serving
    - Working from home

    Cons

    - Processes have not caught up with Gartner now being a large-cap organisation. Ironically, since we are supposed to advise others on IT - our systems are terrible
    - Workload can in periods be overwhelming - be prepared to erase boundaries between work and life.
    - More and more metrics-driven, sometimes causing people to chase perverted incentives not good for the company

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    - see the person beyond the metrics

    Recommends
    Neutral Outlook
    Approves of CEO
