I have been working at Gartner full-time for less than a year

Pros

Challenging yet realistic expectations, huge opportunity for career advancement, high paced/exciting work environment, Fantastic benefits, world class management.

I have been in my role for just at 6 months now and the entire process has been great. The hiring process in lengthy, but it does qualify the best people. This company gives you the opportunity to do whatever you want if you show consistent performance.

Cons

Tied inside an office (depending on your role)
Stating clear expectations for training... There is an 8 week training course you go through at the start of employment. If you do not pass the final role play, you might get put on a probationary period once in territory (out of training) or terminated from employment. However, if you are the right fit for this role and pay attention in training you will do fine.

Continue focusing on the people in the company and great results will continue!

    I have been working at Gartner full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    Relaxed, friendly professional culture. Excellent support for job and learning. Many opportunities to learn from global experts and become familiar with current IT trends and needs.

    Cons

    Negative perception among most local employees concerning future advancement and growth opportunities. The pay is good enough, however, companies with a lesser reputation are willing to pay more for similar work. Gartner provides reputation and expertise, but lacks in pay.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Create and share growth paths for local employees. Increase pay to RETAIN top talent. Retention of top talent is lacking when more pay is offered elsewhere.
