    Positive Outlook

    I worked at Gatti's Pizza full-time

    Pros

better serve the community, make sure everyone leaves happy, host birthday parties, counting and making sure all the money is accounted for, make pizzas on request and make sure that all the employees are doing their necessary jobs to make sure everything runs smoothly during the shift

    Cons

dealing with unruly employees as well as customers that may have had a bad experience, if the money is short or over trying to figure out where it is suppose to even out at, having to count the money and recount it as many times as it takes to make sure every cent is accounted for

    Advice to Management

try to make things a little more organized especially when we have lockins, try to better host parties you may want to hire a person specially certified in hosting parties and things of that sort. but as far as this goes I really enjoyed my time there and would love to work there again if I had the opportunity

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook

    Pros

It's easy to get into the job, easy to get cross-trained, and the wage for drivers isn't under the minimum wage like it is with other pizza jobs.

    Cons

Corporate was completely out of touch. They arrived to help open the store and didn't stick around to see how it operated and what it's weaknesses may have been. Whenever they return, they are often frustrated because of how little of a grasp they have on the store's operations. Technical issues were frequent, and fixing them took forever, including an A/C outage in the first weeks during July's heavy heat; rather than close like other restaurants may do when they lose A/C in Texas, employees were still forced to show up. The final straw was when the franchisee suddenly decided we would be taking deliveries into another town, despite the fact that we were still having late deliveries in town because of the poor staffing. In-store management takes forever to address or even acknowledge issues. Shifts were often understaffed. There is an extreme lack of discipline, and workers were frequently out of dress code, sitting on tables, not doing their designated duties, and having attendance problems with little or no repurcussion. Coworkers were rude, abrasive, and all-around unpleasant. This is also the filthiest restaurant where I have ever worked. We were frequently out of sanitation equipment for the sinks, and there was no proper training on dishwashing, so the sinks were caked with a layer of grime almost impossible to remove. Cleaning supplies go quickly, and they are rarely backed up as far as they need to be.

    Advice to Management

In store management needs to be more responsive to employee concerns. Corporate management needs to be more involved in early operations. Training needs to be thorough, especially in regards to sanitation.
