I have been working at Genentech as a contractor for more than 3 years

    Pros

They select some of the top talent in the industry. It is a wonderful environment, full of brilliant, dedicated people that inspire you to be the best.

    Cons

The consistent striving for "operations excellence" can leave one concerned about if and when their job will be outsource. Work life balance is also often lacking - there's a reason they say "A year at Genentech is is two years some place else." You will definitely learn a lot!
