I worked at General Atomics full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Great benefits, set your own schedule, raise very year, bonuses light demands

    Cons

Very close to working for the government: not much gets accomplished, major red tape, committees, review boards etc to get anything done. One of the secretaries said she has worked for many companies over the years and has never seen so many unhappy employees. From the outside it looks great because of all of the Pros, but the life is slowly sucked out of you with this company until you become one of the many that doesn't care because you can't make your job efficient or productive or satisfying.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Not sure there is much you can do...you do have to work within the Governments rules. I worked on a project for a year that was managed by a guy who was a maverick. He played by his own rules and we accomplished our goals. It was the only time I felt productive and happy a GA...it was a year of heaven.

    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
