I worked at General Atomics full-time (more than a year)

Pros

Beautiful campus, gym and pool on campus for employees. Great people there, smart and friendly

Cons

Too much bureaucracy and red tape to get things done sometimes. Also owners are very fickle about which programs to continue funding after contracts are over. Lots of reorganizations in short amount of time, so hard to be sure of your groups stability/funding

Neutral Outlook

I have been working at General Atomics full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Room for growth - lots of opportunities; Benefits are great

    Cons

Negotiate for higher pay with offer or you're locked in; cafeteria food isn't all that great for the price. Since remodel, food and service have gone downhill

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Communication and training of employees to be consistent across all divisions

I have been working at General Atomics full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Able to work with great technology. Up to date hardware in data centers. Provides training on items that you support.

    Cons

Frequently pulled off projects to work on other projects. Put on so many projects it is difficult to complete them in a timely fashion.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give employees the project goal and let them do what they were hired to do to complete the project. Prioritize projects and have employees focus and complete them without ping-ponging between many projects.

    Approves of CEO
