Excellent compensation plan. The structure and sales processes made it easy to perform well and achieve your sales quotas.

Cons

Company acquisition and many changes occurred. when Acco Brands took over.

    Pros

    Great pay, good people to work with and good benefits.

    Cons

    The middle and upper management team are only focused on the bottom dollar. GBC was the industry leader in document finishing until five or six years ago and the current leadership has no idea how to recapture the market. They are too focused on the immediate bottom dollar and not focusing on the customer enough.

    Pros

    If you are starting out as a new sales rep this is a great place to cut your teeth in B to B sales. Extensive training and mentoring is what is very nice about GBC. They give you the freedom and independance that you will want and training that is needed for success. Woring with a young groups of reps is also a plus. Marketing group is very professional and can help to strenthen the value props for GBC sales reps. Awards, trips and recognition of a job well done is also a great plus at GBC. GBC also comes out with inovative products to help further sell a product that is consumamble.

    Cons

    Over the years career advancement has been limited as the company has been aquired by ACCO. No longer have a fast track managment development program. Compensation over the years has become less competitivve and the politics of working at GBC sometimes get in the way of doing your job. Some senior managament needs to be shaken up as well. Fresh perspectives could be used in management. Over the years their has been a lot of flip floping on the go to market strategy that gets in the way of selling and confusses the reps. Sellin through distribution and direct sales conflicts are a burden to senior sales reps.

    Listen to input from your sales team. Fresh perspectives could be used in management, figure out the direct and indirect channel conflict.
