Not a bad place to work, but you generally need to come into management already trained in your field and as a manager.

I have been working at General Cable

    Pros

For some people, the work is satisfying and challenging. The company has grown over time. It is a market leader in many areas. Tolerant of different cultures.

    Cons

Cutbacks are severe when times are bad. Politics dictate who succeeds and who does not. If you are not on the fast track right away, and desire to move up, then it is time to move on.
