Pros

Friendly atmosphere, learned a lot on Defense Industry, Social Media, etc. Lots of ways to get involved and work on summer projects.

Cons

I found no cons working at this company for the summer.

    I worked at General Dynamics C4 Systems full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    Teams work well together, salaries were pretty equal to market value.

    Cons

    Unfortunately, lately the lack of contract awards has caused layoffs which demoralize the staff.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Revenue can only be generated by sales not by layoffs. Laying people off to meet cost goals will cost in the end.

    Pros

    Opportunity to work with some of the most wonderful and dedicated people. You can be proud of the end result product.

    Cons

    The amount of focus on evaluations, lengthy meetings, and multiple side-tasks, that are of little value; leave limited time to complete important assigned tasks, that impact others greatly. High level of focus on one low-level task not accomplished, while over looking numerous higher-level tasks that are completed.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Hire Managers who work well with people, know their people, and know how to manage; not micro-manage to the detriment of an employee’s time and company’s goals.
