Pros

EB is an intellectually stimulating place to work. As an engineer in a rather vast technical area, I get to see all aspects of submarine construction. Every day brings a new challenge and problem to be solved, so the job is never boring. But it's not overly stressful either. There's a great balance of desk, R&D, and shipyard work. Another bonus, we're one of the only businesses that's hiring in this economy! EB is a really great place to work.

Cons

Some processes are very slow and it seems like it takes a while for things to get accompished because many people have to do reviews and sign offs.
The amount of vacation time we get also needs to be addressed! For your first 10 years, you get 2 weeks of vacation. From your tenth to twentieth year, you get three weeks. After twenty years, you get four weeks until you retire. Ten years in the company to get an extra week of vacation? How about five years.
