Pros

Good benefits and lots of food for free. You might be in weight watch pretty soon ...

Cons

People are trying to take credits and advantages of others. Not a very open mind global company at all. Talking a lot about work/life balance and thye are superfacial.

    To move up the ladder you had to be able to relocate.

    I have been working at General Mills full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

    Great upside on advancement opportunities, a company that largely promotes from within. Great benefits, bonus, and pay packages.

    Cons

    Also hires people directly out of college who have no leadership experience at all and puts them in charge of 20-30 hourly employees with varying levels of experience. Very old fashioned politics stifle innovation and leave the company struggling to keep up with the competition and ever changing marketplace. Worklife balance was often an issue at field locations, with huge swings in schedules. Worklife balance was proven less of an issue at Non-production sites in the Minneapolis St. Paul area.

    Continue to cultivate leaders from within, place less emphasis on what degree someone has and more on proven performance.
