Approves of CEO

I worked at General Motors as an intern (Less than a year)

Pros

Company leasing cars to employees and discounts

Cons

You will never work under 50 hours per week. Too many production workers who don't care about their job, will fight change at every corner, and start conflict.

I worked at General Motors as a contractor

    Pros

Lots of nice people- Many lines form their own bonds and often have their own parties and group actvities Management isn't too bad-most of the supervisors are nice and work with you There is a lot of breaks

    Cons

Temporary employees at the Marion, IN plant have no chance of ever getting hired and generally work harder than the full-time employees. I really enjoyed working this job even as a temporary position, but when offered the chance I didn't return due to the fact that I knew there was no chance of getting hired. As a temporary employee you get no benefits and have no union representation although they make you pay union dues.

I have been working at General Motors full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Engineering oriented company: technical inclined engineers should love to work there, since you get to do and try a lot of things.

    Cons

A lot of people do not know how to work as a team.

    Advice to Management

    * Recruit the best people in the industry or outside, bring in great leaders and allow them to make changes to its work culture and attitudes. * More focus on the products by improving its quality and styling.
