I have been working at Geneva Rock

    Pros

Most of the people in management are pretty decent. If you do them a good job, they'll treat you fairly. It's all about attitude, the job will be what you make it. If you want to be happy in your job, then you have to try and get along with others. They are a good employer.

    Cons

There is anger issues and nepotism problems with the crusher supervisor. He don't understand that respect from employees has to be earned.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stay the course, this is a good company and I have enjoyed working at Geneva. I hope to be able to retire from Geneva.

I have been working at Geneva Rock

    Pros

Geneva Rock has some work in the Salt Lake valley.
They have plants in convenient locations in Utah.
They take care of salaried upper management.

    Cons

There are no opportunities for advancement.
Positions are filled by education not experience.
Wages are also decided by education not knowledge.
    Employees are treated as peons.
No respect is given to any one within the general working population.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat your employees as equals. Just because you are in upper management does not give you the right to treat them as if they were less human than you. You get what you give. Earn your respect don't act as if you deserve it. Every job has it's purpose and every employee has their purpose. If you want peons then post jobs in that category.
