Pros

Smart people, financially VERY secure as a company, and they do great work - often. Compensation is good for people who stay a long time - if you're moving around a lot look elsewhere.

Cons

Low base salaries and reliance on bonuses - the famous phrase they use when hiring is "Take a leap of faith"...the rules about promotions are not rules at all and the action of the company breed intense cynicism. Some offices are really, really unhappy - almost terminally so. No overtime in some offices and people work crazy hours. A completely political company - find someone to be your powerful pal. This does not make for an ideal place. Overall, it's actually badly managed in spite of massive profitability.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Follow your own rules; try to find the core of integrity and live it; remember that you need employees who are balanced and content, not driving themselves crazy to be recognized. Profitability is only one indicator of success.

    Pros

Great mix of young energetic designers and seasoned professionals. High energy environment. Progressive design culture. Large resource of experienced people to guide employees at any level.

    Cons

Recruits right up until the point of starting lay-offs. It can seem very corporate and impersonal, but the company is mostly merit based.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

There should be more performance reviews and feedback, and a free flow of information back & forth from employees to management.
