    I worked at Gensler

    Pros

Smart, intelligent co-workers and vibrant management. Office environment is beautiful, compensation and benefits are great. The perks are wonderful too. Everyone in the office, no matter their position, is made to feel like a part of the team, such as being invited to brain storming sessions for projects you aren't working on.

    Cons

Long hours, lots of overtime and a fast-paced work environment that can, at times, be stressful.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Wonderful company and work environment! Keep up the good work!

    I worked at Gensler

    Pros

Benefits. Ability to travel. Able to relate to Dilbert.

    Cons

Promotion not based on ability, but on relationships (much like the rest of the real world). The 'IBM' of the architecture world- ie. very corporate atmosphere. Much less creative and intellectual than most architecture firms. Gotta love your own cubicle.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The way to grow the business (and sustain it) is to seek out and promote exceptional people. Too little of this happening. Stop preparing for your retirement and start planning for the longevity of THE BRAND- Gensler, that is.
