I have been working at Gentiva full-time for less than a year

Pros

Salary is adequate for the job.

Cons

Office staff I'd inconsistent and will run you all over hell and creation, then complain about your productivity.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be onset with our employees and have a more professional attitude.

    I worked at Gentiva full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    Work/Life balance is superb, compensation is in the upper range what industry pays, and working environment is very pleasant. There are also opportunities for career advancement.

    Cons

    There are really no cons except for centralized decission making and weak performance review system.

    I have been working at Gentiva full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

    Wonderful team members. Caring hardworking staff who continue to do more, for less, without thanks.

    Cons

    Terrible morale...when new Gentiva managers came to newly acquired building...no meeting to introduce themselves; no respect for employees. New mandatory forced weekend call for licensed full-time nurse case managers...32 hour weeks for aides(same work load as previous full time 40 hr week)..no employer contribution to office celebrations or holiday parties...no raises at all for any field staff. Do not work for this company if you value your nursing license...they are now putting any family complaint in writing(without investigation), and a copy will be put in your personnel file. This population is very emotional and fragile, and may target their frustration at the nurse or aide...absolutely unfair to document this as an indicator of poor performance.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Are you trying to destroy this company? Wonderful reputation prior to takeover...now census dropping consistently. Wake up before you lose your talented staff.
