I worked at Gentiva full-time (more than a year)

Pros

Good Training for OASIS Assessment, decent benefits, Good upfront pay while being trained.

Cons

Lousy compensation, disorganized management, unfair reimbursement for Pt "missed visits" and mileage and phone charges. Terrible charting program, with lousy support if problems should arise.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Increase visit rate for RN's

I have been working at Gentiva full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

able to still provide some comfort to those at the end of their life

    Cons

census driven, large case load,no raises, discouraged to use crisis care,no overtime, forced to work on call and then have to take those hours off of your regular schedule during the week(less patient care) morale in office low, nursing forced to spend time "blitzing"when they need to be focusing on better patient/family relationships, the sense that we are continually asked to do more with less and for less.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

really stop on in to any branch and ask the grunts on the ground what it takes to build good customer relationship and how we win the "repeat" customer!
