I worked at Genworth Financial

Pros

Good compensation and benefits, talented people

Cons

Senior leadership leads by fear. They like to lay people off and then make them interview for their jobs just for the fun of it. The company drives away their most talented people either through layoffs or they leave when they get tired of the games. Very sad, actually. GNW could be a good company.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Layoffs are not a good course of business, and leads to terrible morale. When the industry knows that Genworth is going to layoff employees regularly, they start to lose faith in the company and the products that they sell.

    Cons

Not a place to grow a career as whatever you started at in pay they increase it only small amounts each year. Good place to get experence and go somewhere else.
