Pros

Benefits were okay, but not great.

Cons

Management only looking out for themselves; don't care about employees; pay isn't great. Promotions happen via friends/contacts and are arranged before postings happen.

I worked at Genworth Financial full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Pay is decent for Raleigh, NC. New building with free parking. Lots of good folks bailing because the MI buisiness is bleeding out. CEO is verfy personable but he bailed too.

    Cons

A culture of CPI-nicks that never really accomplish anything. This is truly a "good ole' boy" culture too. The preferred management style is "micro-manage". HR actually runs the company and they are the most incompetent goup I have ever worked with.

    Advice to Management

    Stop micro-managing.

    Cons

Not much promotional advancement opportunities The same people are always being shuffled to new roles Constantly changing organizational structure always seems like they don't give current structure a chance.
