I worked at Genworth Financial as an intern (less than a year)

Pros

very friendly atmosphere, lots of opportunity to dive into new/ different projects and learn where your specialty is, upper management open to ideas from anyone

Cons

felt a little too "corporate" at times, would have preferred a little more relaxed atmosphere. wasn't too button up but was in this limbo that could seem dull more than anything

Advice to ManagementAdvice

great job keep up the good work

I have been working at Genworth Financial full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Very nice, smart people. Solid benefits including tuition reimbursement. Lots of community service opportunities. Challenging work environment.

    Cons

Company strategy is sometimes unclear. Cost-cutting has resulted in heavier workloads spread across fewer people. Disconnect between the Investments office and HQ.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Consider relocating the investments practice to Richmond so it can be closer to the product side of the business.
