Lots of professional development opportunities.

Cons

Some departments are micro-managed while others the supervisors are never available.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

There needs to a balance between managing and micro-managing. Responsibilities should be delegated.

    I worked at Georgetown University part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

    Got to do research for a high profile professor and be involved in an interesting project; the pay was pretty good.

    Cons

    The bureaucracy of such a large organization can be hard to deal with - filing paperwork, setting up direct deposits, getting tax information, etc.
