Pros

Great coworkers who go above and beyond to get customers in and out in a timely manner.

Cons

Work too many hours and no overtime pay.nPoor communication from headquarters. Expensive medical benefits.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Communication! The communication is horrible in this agency.
Accountability! The agency leaders need to hold themselves accountable for the poor service to the customers and to their employees.
Work/Life Benefit- You will work, work, work. Even on your days off and hours after your center has closed. Don't expect to see your families.

I have been working at Georgia Department of Driver Services full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    State jobs are considered "safe"

    Cons

Low pay, no appreciation from HQ, FAKE motivational speeches from upper management just so that they can look "good".

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Field Operations is the face of DDS and you should consider increasing the compensation. Assistant Mangers get paid $24k and manegers get paid $29K while the help desk people get more than Field Ops. We deal with IDENTITY DOCUMENTS, passports, Social Security Cards and have great responsibility with our Center. Smaller Center's managers get paid the same amount even though they do 3000 a month compared to the big centers who do 10,000-14,000 customers a month. There needs to be better incentives for managers who manage larger centers.
