I have been working at Georgia-Pacific Corporation

Pros

Decent benefits. Well known company that shows well on a resume

Cons

No chance for advancement. No salary increases. Mbm guiding principles not followed by mgmt. Almost an abusive environment. Too much favortism. Constantly thrown under the bus.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat employees better. Show empathy. More positive less negative. Equal workload for everyone

I have been working at Georgia-Pacific Corporation

    Pros

MBM Culture, opportunities to grow your career, great knowledge sharing between divisions. Many locations to choose from if you want options to relocate to other areas. Profitable and Stable company

    Cons

Our focuses should be on creating the most value for the organization but often we get caught up in the "process" or over complicate things that should be very simple.

I have been working at Georgia-Pacific Corporation

    Pros

    Excellent retirement benefits
    Friendly, team oriented co-workers
Great location with on-site day care, gym and dry cleaning
    Results based company

    Cons

Very little career pathing, so employees have to proactively seek new opportunities within GP.
GP is not known for their loyalty as they would rather bring in someone new at market value than true-up a current employee's salary to market value.
Raises are the exception than the norm.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Start treating your employees with respect.
Stop bastardizing MBM as a way to keep SGA in line, or people will continue to exercise personal MBM and leave GP.
