great experience but a lot of work

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

I have been working at Georgia Tech part-time

Pros-flexible hours (depending on adviser)
-able to take classes while doing work
-like-minded invidivduals

Cons-reasonable stipend, but low compared to industry (especially if you're CS or can get into a top company in your field)
-bad advisers (like you would in the workplace)

Advice to Senior Managementmake sure faculty advisers are understanding of student needs and don't use them as workhorses.

OK for a few years, then you are ready to move on. Depends greatly what area you work in.

I have been working at Georgia Tech full-time for more than 5 years

Pros: College Campus environment. Very bright and engaged students. Good vacation… Cons: A very large place - slow to change, very political. Hard to move ahead if you… No, I would not recommend this company to a friend More
