Current Employee – been working at Giant Eagle

Pros – It pays the bills

Some days are fun

Close to my house. So I save money on gas.

Cons – Long hours

Too many rules that are not followed by company leaders.

Too greedy. All they want is sales with less labor.
Honestly if you really think all the rules that is developed in corporate are being followed. Get out from behind your desk and put an apron on. Don't tell people how it should be done, on a piece of paper, without doing it yourself in a real "day in the life" of a "real" store. If we did everything to company policy, nothing else would get done!

More things wrong than there is right. I will be so happy when my days are done there.
It's sad because it use to be a nice company to work for.

Advice to Senior Management – At the end of the fiscal year...make cuts at corporate. Maybe some of the useless Vice Presidents should get their paycheck cut!
